Dr. Abney is the current President-elect of the Kentucky Optometric Association, and has served on the board of directors since 2007.  He is also the immediate past president of the Grayson County Chamber of Commerce.  He currently serves as Secretary on the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center board of directors, and as Secretary of the Twin Lakes Medical Foundation board of directors.  He is a two term Past President for the Leitchfield Lions Club and a current Membership Director.
